Gurugram | Retail Shop | Retail Design

House of Nandini retail store in Gurugram designed by Studio Design-O-Pedia, inspired by Lucknow craftsmanship, featuring arches, vaulted ceilings, brass highlights, and a premium invite-only boutique experience.

The requirement is creating a store for a brand House of Nandini, which works closely with the craftmen of Lucknow. The store is based on the entry by invitation concept. So there is no exectation of direct casual store footfall. All the visit are preplanned and by invitations only & would be for the customers from Local NCR area or the one buying bulk stuff for internaltional markets.

The USP of the site is that there is one window which is directly visible from the Lift foyer. The moment we move towards site , we see the display window where premium products have been displayed. Next to the window there is a large glass facade opening up on a huge double height terrace with the main entry door in glass.

The moment we enter we see the Nandi and a fountain welcoming guests. There will a series of platforms on the right and huge wall with series of arches which actual is the focal point on the left side respectively. The five arches are main feature of space having an entrance glass door and two glass windows. The remaining one arch will have a traditional brass hammered brand logo which used to be there is Lucknow havelis and palaces and other one will have some mural art.

The two spaces copring the complete store. The internal part is primarily for display and discussion. the outside terrace is for hosting guests, events , shoots, promotions at certain times when the weather is suitable. The Opposite side of the arches is a partition all in customized bricks inspired from forms of Lucknow with a  seating catering the huge horizontality of the views of the skyline of Gurugram.

Throughout with highlights of brass in it. The highlights usually contain the two long metal rods for the hanging apparels for display and a display unit that can be seen from inside of display window usually used for keeping selective items.

The entrance wall is an arch wall with series of layered arches from inside store with accents of ghungroos in it. To make the entire space monolithic and easy going all the forms are made avoiding right angle edges. The ceiling is in the form of vaults inspired by the structure used in past in havelis of Lucknow. .
