Oil India Limited (OIL) is a fully integrated Exploration &

Production company in the upstream sector, with origin

dating back to the glorious year (1889) of oil discovery

in India. A Maharatna Company, OIL is a state-owned

enterprise of the Government of India, under the

administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and

Natural Gas and is the second largest national oil and

gas company in India.

Oil India Private Limited was incorporated on 18th

February 1959, to expand and develop the newly

discovered oil fields of Naharkatiya and Moran in the

North-Eastern region of India. In 1961, it became a joint

venture company of Government of India and Burmah

Oil Company Limited, UK. In 1981, OIL became a wholly

owned Government of India enterprise.

Besides having a Pan-India presence, OIL has

Participating Interest (PI) in blocks in seven other

countries, viz Russia, Venezuela, Mozambique, Nigeria,

Gabon, Bangladesh & Libya.

Brief-  The brief is to design Datacentre for Oil

the functionality and company value and

aesthetics.

Understanding sustainability, Net zero. Earthy

colours to greens and blues

The concept is to design a space that reflects the

process of seismic graph analysis while upholding

sustainability values.

The space is divided into five zones, each with its own

color treatment, creating a narrative from the most

public areas, such as the entry and breakout spaces, to

the workstation area.

As one moves towards the workstation area, the colors

become more subtle, and the ceiling opens up to reveal.

Coffered ceiling with light panels installed in alternate

boxes, flooding the space with light and making it lively

and productive.

The server room, being the powerhouse of the space,

features a narrow window and is highlighted with a

green printed vinyl wall adorned with nature graphics.

The conference room is designed to be simple yet

colorful, contrasting earthy tones inspired by the seismic

sections of the earth below with pastel green and blue

colors on the walls, representing the life above ground.
