The residence is located on the beautiful foothills of Bhattakufar, Shimla overlooking the forested valleys. The motivation of this project is drawn from the natural surroundings which describes a blend of built-up areas with the panoramic views and preserving the colonial magnificent architecture.
With the drawing being designed in French-Formal area style, the entire space is colored in soft and earthy colors. The wooden panels are lacquered painted with stone being the primary choice of the material to be used along with all other local materials. The kitchen of the house is designed subtle and solemn with contrasting white shutters.
The overall theme of the space is premium along with exploitation of beautiful lush landscapes that resonate with the building.
We addressed the Attic area specifically to turn it into a master bedroom being lit up by the skylights and a grand vanity.
The parent’s room and the drawing room on the ground floor opened into balconies that overlooked the forested greens of the valley and at the same time were great for establishing the connect within entire building.
