The proposed Drilling Command Center for Oil India Limited is an advanced FHQ facility engineered for real-time surveillance of multi-rig regional operations. This high-performance environment centralizes mission-critical data through integrated visualization and communication systems, fostering a seamless collaborative platform. Architecturally optimized for a continuous 24/7 operational cycle, the center prioritizes elite ergonomics and heightened situational awareness to ensure maximum efficiency in industrial oversight.

FUNCTIONAL REUIREMENT: FHQ DRILLING COMMAND CENTER FOR MONITORING OF VAROIUS RIGS DRILLING ACTIVITIES.

DESIGN INTENT: THE INTENT IS TO DESIGN VISUALIZATION, COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION BASED ADVANCED COMMAND CENTER, ERGONOMICALLY SUITABLE FOR 24 X 7 APPLICATION.

Concept Note: Interior Design Inspired by the Viscosity of Oil. The interior design of the command center draws inspiration from the physical properties of oil, particularly its viscosity and layered flow dynamics. The spatial composition mimics the gradual descent and stratification of oil, with architectural elements cascading inward from the raised ceiling toward the video wall. This design not only enhances visibility and focus on the wall but also creates a layered spatial experience.

A recessed pocket near the video wall ensures that the display remains partially concealed from the entrance, revealing itself progressively as one moves deeper into the space. This intentional delay in visual access evokes the curiosity and anticipation inherent in oil exploration, where the quality and quantity of the resource remain unknown until the drilling process unfolds.

By channeling the essence of oil’s movement—its flow, density, and mystery—the design fosters a sense of discovery and depth, aligning with the operational ethos of an oil company’s command center.

Design Synopsis: Oil FHQ proposed Command Center unities all the advanced drilling monitoring & planning application in real time sales and operations planning, strategic network optimization, advanced warning and daily reports, distribution requirements planning, and inventory optimization. The command center provides a unified user interface and a single repository of all data. It is flexible, enabling the user to access data from multiple rig sites and make them available for reporting and analysis within a unified user interfaces based in head quarter.
