Studio Design-O-Pedia presents the interior design for the Informage & Terrafence Office, a modern 1500 sq. ft. IT and cybersecurity workspace located in Gurugram. Designed as a shared office for two tech companies, the space is envisioned as a high-tech, secure, and innovative environment aligned with the future of work. Abundant natural light enters through the south-facing glass facade that runs along the full length of the site, enhancing the workspace experience and reducing the need for artificial lighting.
The intent is to design a common office for two companies – Terafence & Informage which works around Cyber security. The site area is around 1500sqft with a long terrace along the length of South facing glass facade. It is a very good source of natural light throughout the day.
The planning is done considering a transition from public corner to semipublic and private corner which is MD office. Overall aesthetics of the office is inspired by following keywords – Safety, Security, Innovation , Computer oriented. These are the inspiration keywords out of which we have derived forms and also the basic inference out of the above keywords is derived something which is way beyond the standard office culture. It is supposed to be very high tech and innovative.
The aesthetics is also planned keeping in mind breaking the monotony of 9 to 5 job. The idea was to create a space which is away from the common office aesthetic where there is a lot of standardization of spaces and basic rectangular form. To break this monotony of space, we have added curves at certain places and playing extensively with forms that are away from standard dimensions that are evolved out of the nature of material used. .
A part of office is planned to be very lively for casual meetings interactions & breaks. The glass facade is being a focal point is used overlooking a very Lush green terrace seen throughout from all spaces. Along terrace there is an open pantry which is open for all employees where they can sit for having food , tea breaks at the casual eating area inside and also on terrace whenever weather is good to enjoy. All the services are planned in a central space behind the pantry where we have all necessary services like UPS, DB, MCB, Printers, scanners, servers..
The terrace is designed to cut down the south sunlight as much as possible without compromising the natural light. It has a metal cover with vegetation that cut sunlight working as a sunshade and filtering the air around.
The overall common area is kept to be casual and playful providing a good break time to the employees. Use of plants has been taking care of extensively at every space in form of partition or corner accent. The idea is that all employees adopt a plant, name and take care of it. All areas have space for planters throughout.
